Myocardial Solutions Hires Healthcare Industry Leader, Gary Brock, as Company President

MORRISVILLE, N.C., February 15, 2022 – Myocardial Solutions (MSI) announced today the hiring of Gary Brock as its new President. Previously serving on the MSI Board of Directors and as a commercialization consultant, Mr. Brock will now take the lead in initiating and building relationships between MSI and hospital networks to expand and commercialize MyoStrain.  

The MyoStrain software rapidly detects subclinical cardiac dysfunction across 48 segments of the heart in a twelve-heartbeat MRI scan—before patients are symptomatic. The early detection of dysfunction enables physicians to take a more proactive and preventative approach. In addition, MyoStrain provides visibility into the efficacy of treatment by measuring treatment effects on the heart, which allows physicians to optimize therapies to the individual patient.

Mr. Brock has over 40 years of healthcare executive leadership. He spent 35 years with Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) in numerous leadership positions, including President and Chief Operating Officer of the legacy Baylor Healthcare system, and President of Health Texas Provider Network, which is Baylor Health Care System’s clinically integrated network of primary care and specialty care physicians, a network of over 1,200 physicians. With the merger of Baylor and the Scott & White Health System, Mr. Brock became the Chief Integrated Delivery Network Officer.  

Under Mr. Brock’s leadership, one of the largest, most respected Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) in Texas and one of the top performing ACO’s in the nation was created, focusing on patient-centered care with an emphasis on assuring adherence to evidence-based best practices and quality standards of care.

Mr. Brock also was Chairman of the Texas Hospital Association and was awarded the Earl M. Collier award for distinguished healthcare administrator; the highest honor bestowed by the Texas Hospital Association. In 2021, Mr. Brock retired from BSWH.
